ABOUT MAMITE MUKKAM

Muhammed Abdurahiman Memorial teachers training institute is one of the educational institutions run by the Mukkam Muslim orphanage Committee. This institution was founded on 1963 as per the G.O no. 87394164, through the tireless effort of its prior manager Marhum. V. Moideen Koya hajji, when R.Shankar was the Chief Minister of Kerala. It was inaugurated on 1963 June 4th by the then educational minister Sri. P.P Ummer Koya as a remembrance of Muhammed Abdurehiman who was a freedom fighter and patriot. Even though its begning was in the orphanage Campus building, later on in 1966 it was shifted to a 3 acre beautiful place situvated near Mukkam police station which is also a property of the same committee. A new building was constructed as per the norms and plans given by the NCTE and with the contribution of Isamic development bank. This new building started its function on 14/8/2001 by the then educational minister Nalakath sooppy.
